Hi friends! I am so excited to be sharing a little Fall Home Tour with my sweetest Instagram buddies this year! I know that you’ll get so much fall décor inspiration from these talented ladies, so be sure to click on over through the links at the end of this post. (To Pin any of these photos to your Pinterest boards, for mobile users hold the photo and a PIN IT button will appear at the top left of the photo. Desktop users just hover on the photo.) Okay, let’s get going!
For last year’s Fall Home Tour we were different house, and I’d pretty much just started this blog, which meant that I knew nothing about taking decent photographs or even what to photograph, so the most fun part about the tour this year for me was
cringing at looking back at my old photos and seeing the difference between this year and last. Of course, I still have basically no idea what I’m doing, but somehow (ahem, luck) the pics are an improvement over last year. I had lots of fun putting this all together, and even though it’s still roughly 3,000 degrees in Florida, it feels very Fall-ish in our house!
Welcome! Come on in…
The Galvanized Olive baskets were a $5 clearance score from Target, the columns are Hobby Lobby, white pumpkins, wreath, and pillow are from Wal-Mart, and I don’t even remember where we acquired those mammoth aloe plants.
Once again this year I foraged for some branches for the front porch – only this time I didn’t have to go far since we’d just had a hurricane. #silverlining??
Just inside the front door… I’m obsessed with this gorgeous chippy chest that was given to me by an amazing friend. She knows I just can’t pass up a project, so I whitewashed over some of the chippiness, sanded a few of the drawers, and replaced the hardware with some vintage copper pulls. I heart it big time.
That cute barstool was $2 from Goodwill, the rusty (heavy as a mother) milk pail is from an antique store here in Jax called EcoRelics. If you’re local you really MUST check it out. I could spend days wandering around in all that dusty goodness.
THE DINING ROOM
The light in this room is seriously nothing short of gorgeous. I walk by almost daily and think DANG it’s pretty in there. I’m certain that this would be a lovely place to dine, but alas I could not tell you, as so far this room has been used for folding laundry and hide and seek (in the curtains) only. I have big plans for the holidays though, so get ready dining room!
That little bank of cabinets where the galvanized tiered tray sits was such a clutch addition when we did our renovations to this house. It’s the perfect spot to set up a buffet when we have football parties and gave us lots of extra storage for… actually I don’t even know what’s in there. But I do know it’s full. And I’m fighting the OCD urge to go clean it out right now.
The “Gather” sign and the little pumpkins are Target Dollar Spot finds, the dough bowl is from Hobby Lobby, the lamb’s ear greenery is from WalMart (I know! What tha?!), and the candle is an insanely expensive splurge that I just can not get enough of… you really haven’t lived until you’ve had an Anthropologie Volcano candle. My weakness.
This little spot is one of my favorite in our house. I made that giant canvas sign last year, my husband built the table, and the antique coffee grinder on the wall was my Grandmother’s and is one of my most prized possessions.
THE LIVING ROOM
Feast your eyes upon the thirty-five second span of “toddler is taking a nap now” cleanliness that I was able to capture. This room is where we live. My three month old’s swing usually sits in that corner to the left of the fireplace, there are usually 50 bajillion toys and a random chicken nugget scattered on the floor, and you can almost always hear “hot dog hot dog hot diggity dog” on repeat because the toddler beast can.not.get.enough. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Friends, thank you so much for cruising through my fall home tour this year! There are lotssss of people out in blogland, so I’m honored that you spent time here!
Be sure to check out these lovelies… they are SO talented that I’m a little freaked out to be sharing my humble abode alongside them, but they’re pretty cool too, so they invited me anyway! I heart you Lindsay, Cherie, and Cat!
Happy Fall Y’all!
