Friends I cannot believe this is our third and final stop on the Merry & Bright Blog Hop! I have loved being teamed up with some super talented and sweet ladies to share our Christmasy homes with you! If you missed the last two weeks, check out our Entry spaces HERE and our Living Rooms HERE. Third and final stop is our Dining Rooms… full disclosure, we’ve lived in this house right at a year, and decorating this space for Christmas was like the third time I’ve been in this room other than to fold laundry. It’s such a pretty space that I’m almost inspired to cook a meal so we can eat in here again. I said almost, don’t get crazy. Let’s go check it out!
Welcome back to the second week of our Christmasy-good Merry & Bright Blog Hop! I’m lucky to be on this fun blog hop with some super talented ladies that are buddies from Instagram land. Their gorgeous living rooms are linked at the end of this post so be sure to check them out when you leave my crib. Last week we showed you our Entry spaces (check it out here if you missed it!), and today we’re chillin’ in the living room, so come on with me!
Fa la la la la la la la long time no blog post! We have been busy enjoying the season, and by “enjoying” I of course mean surviving the sleep deprivation that comes along with a four month old in the throws of teething and sleep regression. Alas, we had a great Thanksgiving and are blessed to have been able to spend it here with our family. I am excited for our first Christmas here in this house, and for my youngest daughter’s first Christmas ever.
I’m also pretty pumped to have joined up with some of my oh-so-talented Instagram friends for a Merry & Bright Blog Hop that begins TODAY and will feature new posts for the next two weeks! The links to these fabulous lady’s blogs are at the end of this post and you simply must check them out for some of the most gorgeous Christmas décor and home decor inspiration that you could hope to find. We are starting with our Entry spaces, so come on in peeps!
Hi friends! I am so excited to be sharing a little Fall Home Tour with my sweetest Instagram buddies this year! Hi my Peeps! If we’re friends on Instagram and Facebook you’ve already seen some sneaks of our laundry room makeover. (And if we’re not friends on Instagram and Facebook, why not?! Let’s fix that shall we?! I’ll wait.) K welcome back! When we first looked at this house, this space was dark and dysfunctional. It had a utility sink hiding behind a door, cabinets with plastic handles, and those swirly blue-ish lightbulbs that I just can’t cope with. We made a few changes and it feels like a brand new space. Bonus that these changes also make the want-to-claw-my-eyeballs-out task of laundry a bit more bearable. Here’s the “after” of our Farmhouse Laundry Room makeover. (And spoiler alert! I love the end result… but I still don’t love laundry.)
It occurred to me today that if we don’t get a move on this JSH Home Tour, we’ll never get through the rest of the Suburbialand house before we’re on to the Coastal Crafstman in less than a month! So today, to celebrate FriYAY, we’re going through the deets of our DIY Bathroom Renovation. I do not call this the “Master Bath” out of habit now, as one of our builders banned us from using the word “master” to describe bathrooms or bedrooms. If you think of the connotations, I get it. Just a little PC tip for you. So anywho, here’s the journey of our DIY bathroom renovation, from cabinet refacing, to countertops, to new tile, to trim work, to a new tub… and allllll the way to the beautiful finished product! Without further ado, our DIY bathroom renovation!VIEW POST
TODAY IS THE DAY! I’m so excited to finally reveal all of the fun fall home tour projects that I’ve been working on for the last few weeks! It’s been a while since I’ve really gotten into decorating for a season, and I’d forgotten how much I love it. It really is like therapy for me. 98.9% of the time my brain is in overdrive… Mommy thoughts, work stuff, bills, blah blah blah. When I got into decorating for this fall home tour I completely zoned out. Finding the perfect combination of textures, color, and scale, and then arranging all of it is like my ultimate anti-anxiety prescription. In fact, when I finished all of this stuff, I think I was buzzed. So without further ado… Welcome to our Jones Sweet Homes Fall Home Tour!
I’m so excited for our next stop on the JSH Home Tour, our kitchen remodel! I’ll show you how it looked the very first time we saw it (ew), the behind the scenes of our demo and reno, and how it looks at this very moment. It is so gorgeous that I am almost inspired to cook in there!
The 90’s Beauty Renovation story below was written in April of 2014, we purchased this home in October of 2012. The people who renovated this house are members of an elite squad known as the JSH reno team, Katie and Lane Jones. These are their stories. (GAVEL SOUND)
Oh there is just so much to share on our home tour and lots and lots of renovation stories to tell, but all in due time! For our first stop on the JSH home tour I’m so excited to take you through one of the happiest rooms in our Jones Sweet Home, the Princessory, a.k.a. Lila’s room! This room is bursting at the seams with love, and almost every single thing I look at in here has some special meaning that makes me smile.
